Kinja'd!!!

Travis County Sheriff (Austin’s county) has/had a couple of these. I haven’t seen them in a long time.

You whipped out your phone in the car as they were facing you? That’s a whole other level of brave.

Those are cool - kinda wonder why they weren’t more popular.

Colleton County Sheriff’s Office (SC) has one. This car was used by the School Resource Officer for a few years as a cool car to connect with kids. The car was quite popular, but has since been replaced with a new Charger. The Magnum has since been moved over to the traffic unit and had all markings and excess equipment removed, and now spends its days chasing hooligans in Fords and Chevys.

Have you driven one? If you had, you would know the answer.

We had them as company cars right after they came out - mid grade level with the 3.5 v6. Some folks that had territories where they would get snow didn’t like the rwd. They were a little shy on the headroom. But otherwise I thought they were pretty nifty. Surprisingly nimble - spent quite a bit of windshield time in one on rural eastern Oregon two lane. I know the reliability with the 5.7 motor is iffy...

One of my local departments had a couple, but they were poopy so they got rid of them.
